We're here!! In all of it's 115 degree glory, we cruised into Phoenix and jumped into the pool. No, not the pool at our new house. The pool at the hotel. Remember, we have cat tee-tee to deal with first. Plus, the new house doesn't have a pool quite yet. That's in the grand master plan for the coming year.
The kids aren't quite sure of the heat and PB is putting on a brave face for my sake. I, however, am LOVING it. No cold toes is a beautiful thing.
And I feel at home and settled. We'll get the keys tomorrow and I'm already making painting plans. I finally get to nest again and so all is right with the world.
The house in Colorado is empty (and still on the market if you're looking) and so I don't have to worry about keeping it spotless for surprise showings. Yeee haw!!
So, I'll post when I can over the next few days. I can't wait for life to get back to normal.

Woo hoo!
Congratulations!! "The Eagle has landed" and has taken a dip:-)
Love to see some pictures! I love hot, hot, hot weather!
The sun is good for the soul...
115 degrees!?! Now that is hot. I am glad that you are enjoying it. Can't wait to see pictures of the new home.
Oh, how exciting! SITScation is in Arizona next year???
Enjoy the house!! (And the hotel ... can you say "housekeeping"?? lol)
Yay! Glad y'all have made it safely.
Welcome to AZ! Couldnt have picked a better time of year to move in hehe
Congratulations! You sound so content and happy. The rest will fall into place ;0)
glad you made it safely!
Welcome to Phoenix, fellow Arizonan! Glad you're going to get settled in soon. :)
Welcome to the valley! Isn't this the most wonderful time of year to move!
So happy to hear the transition is going well so far. :)
Hey, playdate at my house on Thursday! You and the kids are welcome! Our pool is a perfect 90 degrees!
Can hardly WAIT to see pix of the new place! Getting caught up on my blogging today!
That is hot. Like way too hot. But I guess if it equals warm toes...then it must agree with you.
I can't wait to see pictures of the house...and your painting prowess.
Stay cool and have fun getting the keys. Can't wait to hear more.
YEA!! Congrats!
Enjoy the sun, the cat tee-tee clean up and painting. I'm almost done with my painting. There's nothing like a fresh coat of paint on the walls. And your nails. You should see my atrocious toe nails right now. You'd be appalled. Wait.......why would you care? j/k.
The great thing about the heat is that you can always go back inside where it's air conditioned.
AND, I want a full report on Last Chance when you are all settled and head out to shop\.
Awe, just as I find your blog, you move out of Colorado. Well good luck and Colorado will miss you.
Wow, 115?? I am with PB. It would take a while to get used to that! Have fun before all your work begins.
Welcome!
Congrats! And if you like the heat, come visit New Orleans. UGH... but you have to want the humidity too. (I'd rather a house in Colorado!)
enjoy!!! swim it up and enjoy someone else washing the towels (for at least a week!)
Glad you're safely there and getting all settled and cozy!
Fill us in on all the neat decorating we know you're gonna do!! And pictures!
I've been out of blog-touch a few days myself, but I'm almost ready to bring my blog back public after major tweaking, etc.
I've even changed my name to ♥Boomer♥ -- though you can still call me bfs-MIMI. :-)
So glad you made it but geeezz 115 degrees, whew...
I'll be in Vegas next week, guess the weather won't be far off...I'll also have to grab a drink and do some lounging by the pool (if my husband can pull me off the slut machines...oops, I mean slot ;-)
Yay for nesting!!
Jamie :)
Welcome to the desert! Hot is hot and you never really get used to it, but weather for the rest of the year is awesome. Plus we don't have any natural disasters!
Congrats... don't know how you have the time to blog!!! You're my HERO!!!
I love summers!
Congratulations on your move!!!!!!!!!! Gosh you brought back memories of the time we made an offer but then rescinded at the very last minute, all in the name of cat pee.
The stench of cat pee everywhere when visiting to check on the status of the bathroom re-do (which actually was her painting over wallpaper and the cabinets herself) was the last straw. The lady actually left her cat in the house for days with it empty.
Woo hoo! Good luck with the cat tee-tee clean-up. :)
And enjoy that sun! I think Phoenix is such an incredible place.
I'm with you on the heat ;) I like dry heat....feels a little like an oven right?!
Stopping by straight through the desert in Palm Desert.......
Ashley
Are you gonna be in a hotel for a year?? Whoa.
Kidding. Im not QUITE that dim...but close.
Enjoy someone cleaning up after you for the time being!
God bless-
Amanda
Dang that's hot! Good luck on getting settled.
Thank you for my win at sits!
The only thing that makes me sad about this entire move--and this is purely me being selfish--is that you're now 3 hours behind me, instead of 2. So when it's 10 am and I'm all, "I need Heather in my life!" I have to refrain myself. Because 7 am is too early to call anyone, I don't care how much I love them.
Even when I want to call and scream, "I HAD ANOTHER DREAM!!!!!"
I refrained. Because I'm trying not to be selfish.
Go paint. And get that "ha-wah-bull" smell out. Swim some, too. You've earned it.
I am so happy for you and your warm toes.
And even if the rest of your family isn't too sure about the move, once they have a happy mommy all the time, they will be grateful. You know, if momma ain't happy...
Can't wait to see pics!
(I thought every house in AZ had a pool, whassup with that?!)
Holy cow!!! 115 hot hot degrees??? I would just die. Actually, I think I would hibernate and stick my toes in the freezer, ha ha. Congrats on getting a new place to call home.
Best wishes on getting settled! :)
Sounds like lots of fun. Can't wait to hear more about it. (and pictures!)
I hear you on the heat ... and the pool. It's not quite 115 in Texas but can I still say YUCK???
YAY on the pool...ours is several years out, yet.
Good luck selling the other house. I could never handle the heat like that, I may complain in the winter, but I cry when it's 90 too :-)
I'm so glad you are here!!! I just got home from my 6100 mile road trip with my kids. Whew. Glad to be home, even if it is 115. It's all good.
Welcome to MYTOWN! ;)
Hooray! Glad you are happy.
:)
Holly
The youngest lived in Phoenix for about 9 months a few years back. It's a neat place.
115? Too hot for me! I would have to live at the pool :)
Glad everything went smoothly, even though it's so hot! Listen, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Aunt Julie, Veggie Mom's SIL. Veggie is retiring today as the proprietress at Eat Your Veggies! today, and I'm stepping in. I realize I have really BIG shoes to fill, but I'm up to the challenge. Please come by and wish Veggie a fond farewell on her last post. Look forward to seeing you over at my new place!
Hi honey found you on SITS! I'm following you now! love your header I'll be in Phoenix on saturday..UGH can't stand the heat! havea great day & stop by to see me anytime MUAH
Woo~hoo! Not just a house move but an 'up-sticks-and-move-to-a-new-location' move. How exciting!
I am very jealous of it being warm enough there to go in the pool....
Hey! Updates please??
Hey Heather!
It has been the hottest week of the year in Phoenix this week! I'm going away for a few weeks so I'll have to catch up with you when I get back...love to meet for coffee sometime maybe after school starts!
Lay back in that pool and dream of all the decorating you get to do, a fresh palette! My mind is spinning :)
Alright, can you finally put the rumors of heat to rest? Does it really matter if it is a dry or humid heat in Arizona...or is 115 degrees hot as an oven regardless? LOL
~ Sandy
there is nothing that bugs me more than cold toes! :( Just droppng by from SITS
